My eldest girl went on a sleepover this week and the little one was most upset to see her sister going off without her. After we had mopped up the tears, she decided to wait at the window for her return. Needless to say, this didn’t last long and the promise of cake provided the motivation to move!
Short and sweet this week…I love the delicate, pastel colours and of course, as a treat, the chocolate!
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter xx
For those readers who may not live in the UK, we can safely say that spring has not sprung…at all…in anyway shape or form.
This is the view from my back door onto my neighbours rather lovely thatched cottage. I was rather taken with the little pop of red from the rosehips, I’m longing for the day when the new roses will arrive…
Keep cosy y’all!
Without getting too slushy or sentimental about things, I am very lucky to a) still have a mother in my life and b) be a mother myself.
Here in the UK today it’s Mothering Sunday and these were the beauties that greeted me this morning…
Happy Mother’s Day to you and yours wherever she may be xx
There was a bit of a milestone in our household this week. My husband turned *whispers* 40.
As you can see from the picture below, there was a bit of a theme to this year’s gifts. Yes, dear reader, we are now the proud owners of a 1974 Bay Campervan. We, well me & the girls, have named her Marigold. She’s a lovely yellowy orange colour and it’s one of my favourite songs – listen to it here. She makes me smile and I’ve not even been able to drive her yet. She didn’t quite make it home and is now residing in the yard of our local garage. I’ll do some more posts on her and will be taking lots of before, during & after pictures as she needs a bit *lot* of TLC currently…
Do any of you have or have had a camper? I’d love to hear your top tips for Happy Camping!
I have a feeling that the Haynes manual will be the one we will be reading the most…
I’m really fortunate to work from home but sometimes I feel that I never get away from it. Add 2 children into the mix and it can all feel a little overwhelming occasionally.
I managed to steal a few moments to myself this week which is always lovely… Sometimes, all I need is a little sit down with a coffee, pancakes and a good magazine!
It’s been a wee while since I posted my pictures for my Project 52. I have been dutifully taking them though and today you get to see the fruits of my labours.
I bought these daffodils and was waiting for them to blossom into life when I noticed these 3 in varying stages.
I’ve been trying out some new product shots for my work and trying to give myself a little more exposure on Pinterest and other sites like Instagram (ABCSTREET) *hangs head in shame at self-promotion*
If you read my post the other day on Pancakes, you will have already seen this picture, but it pretty much sums up what I’ve been eating this week!
A few days late on this one but I’m sure no-one will mind…
Don’t know how it was where you are but at the weekend, the snow seemed to magically disappear overnight. Then the sun came out and made me feel a whole lot better about a whole lot of things.
I was walking past our local florists and the smell of these tiny flowers was so intoxicating, I bought a spray of them.
Well, this week it snowed here in Blighty. As usual there was a news special about the light dusting and words like ‘treacherous’ being bandied about left, right & centre. Now, I’m not making light of the situation, but being winter and all, shouldn’t we expect snow?
So, here I present to you, the ubiquitous “My Garden In The Snow” shot…
For my picture this week, Siobhan gave me the theme of ‘Something Good’. I did say last week that I wasn’t going to follow themes but some weeks I may take music as my inspiration. A fantastic example of this can be seen here. If you have any song titles that you’d like to suggest that I could interpret in picture form, I’d love to hear from you. *hope I don’t regret asking*
This week, being January and all, I entered the world of green smoothies. I’d always been a little wary of them but, perusing Pinterest one day, I found this lovely blog with this recipe for a green smoothie that promised to taste good.
Reader, it does. Really good. I’ll be honest, there was an alarming amount of green in there but it tastes kinda yellow… *that’s a good thing*
So, here I present Week 2 – Something Good
